6 in. x 6 in. oil on panel - SOLD
Still standin'--like me. I went out at 7 this morning to find a picket fence for the challenge. Fortunately we have a few old Victorians in Rocklin. Otherwise, picket fences are few and far between in California suburbia. I would have preferred a corner section with good light, rather than one marching clear across the picture; but at least the broken boards keep it from being too rigid. This challenge was great incentive to get out and find reference, but no: with temperatures hitting 100 degrees, I am not out painting "en plein aire." As usual, this took me wa-a-a-y more time than I probably should have spent. But speed is no longer my objective.
