I painted a live model in a 3-hour studio session for the first time in several years--three and a half, to be exact. So that was a plunge into void. Spent the first hour and a half just covering the canvas, and the gray background, brown coat and black & red dress made for a pretty dark palette, which isn't my favorite. But overall, it didn't go as badly as anticipated. Wine helped.
Otherwise, family crises continue to keep me mostly sidelined. Hoping for more painting in 2015.
