When we moved from South Natomas to Rocklin in 1986, we brought a little pot-bound magnolia. It never grew much and has been slowly dying ever since, but still manages to produce a few flowers. Its drooping limbs conveniently make them easy to photograph.
I think I have discovered that for me, one secret to painting frequently is both having the time while feeling the opportunity is limited.
