I am in love with the gritty tooth of clear gesso--a great fix for the slick surface of heavily gessoed canvas or the too-smooth panels that always bug me. It also works as a medium for applying an acrylic ground color--using it as a base for everything now.
I have never been able to find fabric with wide green stripes, so finally painted some myself. Expect to see it several more times.
