6 x 6" oil and metal leaf on panel - SOLD

This seemed like a good, or at least interesting, idea at the time--four months ago. I even bought half a dozen wide black frames for the additional ones I had planned. But, after finally completing the second one, which had been sitting around half-finished since then, I don't think I am interested in messing around with metal leaf any more. Too much of a gimmick, or something.  Beginning to wonder if I will ever find a subject/style/anything I can do over and over for an entire series...
