Tête á Tête

4" x 6" oil on linen panel
At the moment, each of these paintings goes through a stage at which I think, "WHAT am I doing??" At that point, I just have to plow forward and hope for the best. Eventually I seem to beat them into some sort of submission. But whether I succeed or fail, I still find the roughness more satisfying than "licking" them down to a rendered finish. This one seems a little dark; but a black frame and bright light perk it up significantly.
