Plum Bowl

11 x 14" oil on canvas - SOLD
Did this in 4 hours or so. For some reason the family likes it. But what do they know? I think the DH likes it because everything is from his garden. I admit I am much happier doing still life than figures--even though Hatfield says it's "all the same "

  1. What's not to like; it's a nice painting. Nice bright colors, crisp feeling about it. 4 hours? Pretty impressive.

  2. Thanks, Michelle. You're always the first to look--does an alarm or something go off on your computer when I post ? ;-D Do you do Facebook? We could talk more often.

  4. Thanks, Keith. Like all the others in this style, it went through a stage of seeming like a hopeless mess. Oddly, this seems to occur nearer the finish.

I've looked before--your line drawings are charming.

  5. Very impressive, Connie, especially considering the time you spent.

  6. Thanks, Pat. I only counted painting time, not set-up, which took a ridiculous length of time to get something I was satisfied with. I'm not sure I'm even capable of a higher level of finish in this style and not sure what it would be. If I'm ever able to sell it, faster turn-around will certainly be a benefit.

  8. Connie - Yes, I use Google reader and all of the blogs to which I subscribe pop up when there is a new post. I just started using it about a year ago and it is wonderful. Now I don't have to keep checking for new posts. It's a time saver. I'll send you a friend request.
